Board Committee Meetings
Standing committees must consist of at least two, but not more than 3, Board members and the administrative representative. Committee members may include other invited members. Committees meet on an as-needed basis.
Policy Committee
Chair Person: Joseph Lopez
Submit policy revisions or changes to the Board as a whole for adoption
and review the Library Policy Manual bi-annually.
Safety Committee
Chair Person: Francesca Drnek
Review and update evacuation plans and /or routes and emergency procedures
as necessary and review the Safety Information Manual bi-annually.
Technology Committee
Chair Person: Jason Bruscato
Continuing development of hardware and software technology
and meet with the Technology Manager annually.
P/R, Marketing, and Fund Raising
Chair Person: Christ Dumas
Oversee and pursue new ideas pertaining to publicizing and marketing the Library to our
community, discovering new ways of fund raising and working with the Friends of the
Library in this pursuit and meet with the Friends of the Library officers annually.
Officers Committee
The Officers Committee shall consist of the three officers of the Board; responsible
for reviewing the Trustee Policies bi-annually, serve as the Personnel Committee,
and serve as the Secretary's Minutes Auditing Committee.
Committees of the Whole
The Board holds a special annual Saturday Meeting to review the upcoming fiscal year. The annual meeting is one opportunity for board training, budget discussion, building and grounds review, and renewing of long range discussions.
Finance Committee responsibilities are to meet annually with the Administrator
who will present a working budget and personnel changes.
Building & Grounds Committee shall supervise the maintenance of the present
library buildings; shall recommend steps to be taken to preserve the library buildings
and its grounds and to improve both; shall cooperate with other duly constituted
public officials in the pursuit of these aims.
Insurance responsibilities are to review every 4 years.
