Birthday Club Dates for 2008:  3, 26
Were you born on either of these dates?  The Friends' will purchase a book for the Library in honor of your birthday.


Book Discussion Group:
Books are chosen every June at the final book discussion.  Then starting in September, join and read one book a month.  Share your opinions the last Monday of the month at 7:00pm.

Book Sale:
There is an ongoing book sale located in the Main Room of the Library.  Check out our shelves for a good read and a good price!

Born-To-Read Club: 
Sign up your newborn and receive a prize.  The Friends' will purchase a book for the Library in honor of your newborn.

Nimble Fingers - Knitting and Crocheting Group:
This group is so popular there are two different days per week it meets.  Bring your yarn and needles on Mondays at 7:00pm or Thursdays at 3:00pm.

Scrapbook Group:
Bring you photos, papers, and ideas.  Join this small, fun group two Saturdays a month at 1:00pm.  Please call ahead to find out the group dates.

Stampin' With Sandy:
Join Sandy as she leads the monthly group for a small fee of $10.00 through creative stamping projects.  This group meets one Saturday per month at 11:00am.

What does the Friends of the Library Group do?
The Friends raise money that enables our library to move from good to great -- providing the resources for additional programming, much needed equipment, and special events throughout the year.

What is the on-going goal of the Friend of the Library Group?
The Friends highlights on an on-going basis the fact that our library is the cornerstone of the community providing more opportunities for all to engage in the joy of life-long learning and connect with the thoughts and ideas of others.

Why is the Friends of the Library Group important?
The Friends understand the critical importance of well funded libraries and advocate - to ensure that our library gets the resources it needs to provide a wide variety of services to all ages.

How does the Friends of the Library Group accomplish these?
The Friends' gift of their time and commitment to the library sets an example for all in how volunteerism leads to positive civic engagement and the betterment of our community.

How do I become a Friend?
Simply fill out a membership form & pay annual dues of $5/person or $10 /family.

Now that I'm a member, what do I do?
You can do all, some, or none of the items listed below:
  • Attend the Annual Friends Pizza Meeting
  • Help out at the annual fundraiser - Holiday Fair in October
  • Become an officer (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer)
  • Attend Library Programs
  • Volunteer @ the Library
  • Come and participate in one or all of the ongoing Friends' Programs
